No ruttin’ way did I miss this…

Sweet.
There are few things I completely go down the fan rabbit hole for, but Firefly is one of them. I run a Firefly/Serenity RPG campaign every other week or so, just to keep the ‘verse alive, and I love it. It’s full of great people — people who get the ‘verse and how to be a part of it without completely creeping me out. (Note to Autumn: If you sat in on one of my campaigns, I’d make you an RPG convert!)
Just like the series and movie, it’s the little RPG system that could. Margaret Weis productions created the sourcebook, but have also continued to crank out supporting materials. They’ve been a little slow in coming, but the support has still been better than I expected.
In my other life, I manage (if I could be spared the latitude of using present tense) a Firefly resource site (which has been neglected of late). I keep up with the game. I play a lot. I had a hand in helping Quantum Mechanix create their spiffy official map of the ‘verse. I even had a short blip in the fan-documentary Done the Impossible. I am Firefly Geek Personified.
…so when something new comes out, shouldn’t I get a memo?
Now I feel like I complete dweeb. Or, maybe the fact I didn’t know a new RPG supplement came out makes me the opposite of a dweeb. Either way, I suck!
To be fair to my bruised ego, it looks like Margaret Weis’ site is in rough shape at the moment; it doesn’t even feature their own product. Amazon says it hasn’t shipped yet, either.
But it’s all over the Web. In fact, I can purchase a PDF’d version of it right now. And that’s just what I’m going to do. I’ll get back to you with the update later in the week, after I have time to soak in it a bit.

Don’t feel bad, Josh. At least you still have an active campaign – mine has gone the way of shoulder pads & grad students’ “free time”. I look forward to reading more about your escapades now that I’ve discovered this site. Perhaps I shall live vicariously through your adventures.
