Random Acts of Geekiness: Sound of Music

I love that everyone geeks out over something. They may not realize it or be willing to admit it, but here at GeekSix we embrace it. I’m on a mission to seek out those Random Acts of Geekiness. The following video, a 200 dancers’ version of the Sound of Music in Central Station Antwerp combines some of my favorite things, dancing and musicals. Ahh, the countless hours I’ve spent dancing and singing in the kitchen. I may have danced around my apartment after watching this.

………………… love it
Endless happiness. This is brilliant.
For a silent geeky moment in a train station, look here:

Silent and immobile—and eerily reminiscent of many a sci-fi movie moment.
I saw this before and absolotely love it. I am a huge fan of Sound of Music though. I wonder how this would go over in the US?
Excuse the spelling I meant absolutely. Brain fart
I’m not a fan of “The Sound of Music,” and yet, somehow, I still know all the words to every song (kind of like I can quote “Dirty Dancing” but don’t care for that movie either). I can even do the goat vocals.
This is a fun vid even for someone who isn’t into the musical.
I love that it’s mostly kids and also that they were adding dancers into the mix up until the very end.
This reminds me of Improv Everywhere’s food court musical — another one of my faves. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkYZ6rbPU2M
While not out of the blue, you gotta love the close to 900 people who gathered in Austin at the end of last year for the world record breaking Thriller Dance.
I love that they went with the Hotdog On A Stick girl as the lead in Food Court Musical. That uniform is the best!
I have to admit that one of my most favorite experiences when I lived in DC was when I went to a Sound of Music Sing-a-long. We got to “Boo!” every time the nazis came on screen and even have a costume contest. I gotta find a way to do that in Salt Lake.
