What happens when geeks remix the news

If you haven’t seen these guys and their fantastic feature “Auto-tune the news” yet, you now have no excuse. What’s an auto tune? You’ll know it when you hear it: those ‘electric sounding’ vocals you here that skip up and down tones to stay in the same key as the song — very popular in hyper-produced hip-hop.

These guys take a series of news events, set it to a beat and chord structure, and occasionally chime in with solos and back-up vocals. The result is awesome. Check out the two videos below. Especially the Katie Couric part in the second video — priceless.
