Leitha — It's complicated. J.J. Abrams has described this as a reboot, and because of the nature of the plot (which involves a little time travel), it's basically a way to say, "Whatever you think happened, didn't, because it's all different now."

That said, Archer wasn't the first person to captain the Enterprise 1701 — he was generations before, and it was the NX-01. Technically, the first captain of the 1701 was either April or Pike, depending on whether you include the novels as canon.

Holy crap — I can't believe I know that stuff. Where did it come from? I'm like the Chuck of Star Trek knowledge — someone must have put a chip in my head. Quick — someone ask me something else!

Alamo Drafthouse...how I miss thee...let me count the ways...beer, pizza, food while watching, Firefly marathon, LotR marathon (with all meals), Texas winning the national championship...I could honestly go on forever. I want my Drafthouse.

So I am confused. Where does this fall into the Star Trek timeline. I Thought that the Series Enterprise Captain Archer was the first one to fly the Enterprise.

I suspect the Sylar thing wouldn't bother me even were I a fan of "Heroes" because the match to Nimoy is so spot on that the actor can only be Spock to me in this movie.

I've chosen to not watch any of the video. I've seen one of the trailers and that's as far as I'll go before May 8.

The bug-in-the-ear thing never bothered me. I had an earwig in my ear once, and I ate half of one that had wriggled into a Fig Newton once. But thinking about earwigs still doesn't bother me. Seeing them crawl across the floor, on the other hand.... Nothing that moves like that can be good.

I've never seen One Tree Hill, Jason, so I wouldn't know. Apparently, you have.... :)

I have seen 90210, but hey, I was a teenager. It was the thing to do.
