One week until The Gathering Storm

Okay, you might have noticed. I like The Wheel of Time and I might be just a bit excited about the latest installment coming out next Tuesday. That would be book 12, The Gathering Storm.

So excited in fact, that I have probably already made you roll your eyes and wish that I had not started yet another Wheel of Time post. So to date…

• I have been named a Storm Leader for an upcoming Brandon Sanderson signing event for The Gathering Storm here in Salt Lake City.
• GeekSix is running a contest for free copies of the first book of the series, The Eye of the World, and another Sanderson book, Mistborn. Contest ends Friday if you are not in already.
• I have undertaken a rereading of the entire series to update myself with what is going on. Epic fail on my part to try and get through it before release date.
• I am an administrator on a online text based, role playing game set in the world of The Wheel of Time.

So yeah, I am a bit excited. But wait, don’t stop here. Tor, publisher of The Wheel of Time and Mistborn series, has made available a slew of new videos to help you get excited about the upcoming release. And, if we get lucky here at GeekSix, we may just get a batch of “I Killed Asmodean” bumper stickers which we will pass directly on to you somehow. How much do you want one of these on the back of your ride?
