This is my life right now. Just hanging on and trying to survive. Yes that is a giant moster uvula.

Sorry loyal GeekSix readers, I have been lax in my duties with bringing you the completely inane and silly from my head. But alas, real life has reared its ugly head and has tied me down and beaten me for the last two weeks.

Just for the record, and yes you can judge:

  • I am in the process of painting a new house that we intend on moving into within the next two weeks.
  • My daytime secret identity on a campus of higher education has had me booked solid for the last  two weeks and looks to keep me busy until at least Thanksgiving.
  • I have joined a basketball league which is is running games on Tuesdays and Thursdays over the course of the month. This is what we call sports. They are fun. So far we are 1-2 for the season. But at least we didn’t suck wind so much last night.
  • My wife is also busy at work, which means about three times what I am doing at work, which means I have son duty for the most part.
  • Somewhere in all of this I am trying some place to finish reading The Gathering Storm. At this point I am only a 100 pages in and have not picked it up in the last week.
  • I am a large lazy ass.

So that has been my life for the last couple of weeks. Again, apologies all around.

I promise I will return shortly with great things like science fiction babery (with pictures!) and some really cool things I am looking forward to (fantasy movies galore!). Perhaps even a little insight into the video game concert Play! that is stopping by my neck of the woods next week.
