Jane Austen Violence

So I’m finally reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, and, as on the nose as that title sounds, it should really be called Pride and Prejudice and Zombie and Kung Fu, because Lizzie, in this version of the classic tale, has been trained in the orient. Having expected blunderbuss’ and cannons and having received katanas and ninjas, I must say it’s taking me out of the story more than the zombies are, simply because I was completely not expecting that.
It has, however, totally put me in the mood to watch the 6 hour version the BBC made forevs ago. Other things that put me in the mood to watch Jane Austen movies
-Any piece of British literature circa 1600s-1925
-Mad Men (because it is also a costume drama)
-Being in a group of more than 3 women (since that’s usually what I do with my shefriends and sisters anyways)
-Taking walks
-Playing lawn games
-Wearing anything remotely resembling an empire waist dress
So, I get in the mood to watch Jane Austen a lot, but now especially. Husband has never seen Jane Austen, and therefore does not appreciate. Christy and I have plans to watch P&P with him so he gets the full experience of watching the movie, because stereo chortling whenever Mr. Darcy does anything really makes the experience.
Maybe I can butter him up by making him watch this

Curses on you for posting this before me. I guess that’s what I get for trying to catch up on work from being MIA during Comic-Con.
Bwahahaha, do you recognize anyone? They’re from sm3, I thought they looked familiar
Yeah, I know a couple of them and some of the crew.
having now finished the book, I feel like my biggest problem was that they spent too much time TRAINING to kill zombies and not nearly enough time killing them. They encounter them over and over, kill a few then run away, or if the zombies aren’t bothering them they wouldn’t actively kill them EVEN THOUGH Lizzie mentions that they are sworn to the crown to fight the zombies.
There were study questions at the end, though, so that made me happy.
