So I was looking over this years summer music festival for my local symphony, seeing if anything caught my eye. And sure enough there it was, a July 4th celebration which includes selections from Star Wars. Needless to say I got my tickets shortly after running across that.

If I ever needed a reason to go to New York before, I have one now. Radio City Musical Hall has just announced it will be hosting the Radio City Lord of the Rings Concert at the hall on October 9 and 10. It promises to be a magical, musical journey through Middle-Earth. In addition to the concert, there will also be various events linked to the concert including the release of a new book concerning the music of The Lord of the Rings and a preview of the upcoming The Hobbit movies.
