
So I was looking over this years summer music festival for my local symphony, seeing if anything caught my eye. And sure enough there it was, a July 4th celebration which includes selections from Star Wars. Needless to say I got my tickets shortly after running across that.
Yes it was Star Wars. Yes that is all it took to get me there. But I have been having this arguement in my head about film scores, classical music and symphonies. Eventually I came around to the point that I want my symphony playing film scores as classical music.

If I ever needed a reason to go to New York before, I have one now. Radio City Musical Hall has just announced it will be hosting the Radio City Lord of the Rings Concert at the hall on October 9 and 10. It promises to be a magical, musical journey through Middle-Earth.
