I have kinda gone back and forth on trying to put together something like this. Given that the Whedonverse is so small and compact, with most of it laying in the Buffy/Angel realm, I didn’t know if I could lay down a solid list without it seemingly being confined to one ‘verse or the next.

Fox announces 2009-2010 schedule

This is a fun week. Its broadcast network upfront week where we all get to learn what shows made the cut, what shows were shown the door and what new goodies will be around next year.

Fox was first up to bat this week this morning and unvieled a decent schedule that is chalked full of shows that have been around for a while.

Thursday becomes a geekdom destination for the the channel airing Bones and relocated Fringe next season. Dollhouse sees a new season, still on Friday, but an hour later. Seth McFarlane’s take over of Sunday is almost complete as well with The Cleveland Show starting up.

Chuck, Dollhouse live on

Lots of good news flowing out the rumor mill concerning some very awesome shows. Geekdom was ready to revolt as Chuck, Dollhouse and Sarah Connor Chronicles were all up on the chopping block.

Rumor mill is now saying that Chuck and Dollhouse will live to see another day. If sources are correct, they may just live to see Friday next season, possibly at the same tme. However Terminator has been terminated, so no more Summer Glau for you.

Both renewed shows look to be up for a limited order and will face some budget cuts, along with some cast cuts as well to make the shows a bit more profitable.

Dollhouse gets eviction notice

The Twitterverse has lit up like a bomb over the past couple of hours as Felicia Day and Dr. Horrible have announced that Dollhouse will not even make it to its 13th episode of the season. Instead it looks like the Joss Whedon created series will fold show on episode 12 with the last episode appearing on the series DVD.

When will Joss learn? Never trust Fox. But then again, Dollhouse never really showed it should be given a chance. The series garnered very low ratings and not even a Friday time slot with low expectations could save it. Let the calls for it to be moved to The CW begin.
