HBO first aired a very brief, atmospheric teaser featuring Sean Bean during the True Blood premiere, but you can check it out, as well as a few introductory features of the show, here.
I’m a little nervous it’s only going be be ten episodes (what’s been ordered thus far). I know HBO kinda makes their own season sizes, but if I only get ten episodes and it cancels or some such. Well, I’ll be sad.

A while ago I fiddled here with the idea of starting a ye olde booke clubbe here so we could have SOMEBODY to talk to after we read a fantasy novel just discovered by someone that the rest of the world read in 1996.

Last week we were treated to the news that a large number of cast for George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones pilot had been decided on. Among those were Jaime Lannister, Robb Stark and Daenerys Targaryen. Previous to that we had Ned Stark, Tyrion Lannister and Robert Baratheon.
And now, to round out the main cast, it is reported that 300 and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles star Lena Headey has been tabbed to play the twisted, demented and deadly beautiful Cersei Lannister.
Like the casting of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as her twin brother Jaime, she does not sport the Lannister golden locks….yet. But this is a choice I can get behind. The ..read more
