ID5: Dust off Judd Hirsch’s kippah

Ever since Independence Day came out I’ve been trying to think what plot a sequel could have.  You could Ender’s Game it and go to the aliens’ world, although that captured soldier inferred their planet was abandoned.  You could have some sort of Body Snatchers plot where they leave behind a parasite.  You could have a bigger and badder mothership show up that has a firewall…  Yeah, I haven’t come up with any ideas that would be satisfying.   But dammit, I want a sequel to one of the biggest campy kick-ass fests in the past couple decades.
